About Insightful Edge Therapy

Insight Begins With Discovery

At Insightful Edge Therapy, we believe mental health deserves the same proactive care as physical health. Our six-session program is designed to go deeper—like a microscope for your mind—helping you uncover patterns, gain clarity, and create a plan for lasting balance. Whether you’re thriving but curious, or struggling and seeking change, we provide a structured path to insight and growth.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept insurance?

We do not accept insurance directly at Insightful Edge Therapy. We operate as a private-pay practice, which allows us to focus entirely on your needs without the limitations, paperwork, or constraints that insurance companies often impose.

Importantly, this also means we don’t need to “manufacture” a diagnosis for billing purposes. Insurance companies require a diagnosis to reimburse for treatment, which often forces therapists to label you with a disorder whether it accurately reflects your experience or not. We treat you, the whole person navigating life’s complexities, not a set of diagnostic symptoms required to satisfy billing requirements.

This approach gives us the freedom to work with you on your terms, focusing on growth, clarity, and wellness rather than fitting your experience into predetermined categories.

However, if you have out-of-network benefits through your insurance, we can provide you with a superbill (a detailed receipt) that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. We’re happy to help you understand how to navigate that process.

For those seeking therapy through insurance, we maintain a list of resources and referrals that may be helpful

Your first session is about getting to know each other and determining if we’re a good fit. We’ll discuss what brings you to therapy, explore your story and context, clarify how therapy works and what to expect, and talk openly about whether this feels like a good match. There’s no pressure, you’re in control of what you share and at what pace.
